Weight loss

And for something a little different today. For the past year, I've been on the weight loss train. It's not a challenge between friends, even though everyone has decided to do something for a more fit life. Especially, when we found ourselves being outpaced by a 53 year old man who takes heart pills. One friend has lost, 75+ pounds and is in the process of building muscles. Another has lost 40+ pounds and competed in his first mud run. That type of course takes endurance, strength, and guts. He needed to concur it, so he did. Me, on the other hand, I have reached a plateau where I am either gaining or losing 2 of the same pounds.
So, after a few weeks of trying to tweak my exercising and calories, I'm trying something different. This may sound crazy but I'm doing Jackie Warner's 10 Pounds in 10 Days. I read the reviews and it is a three phase diet. The first phase, you eat 950 calories and exercise(mostly weights). The next phase, the calories increase to 1200 and the 1500 in the final phase. The first phase, I think, shocks your body. I might lose a ton of water weight, a bit of muscle, and a small amount of fat, but it will be a change for me and my body. My book will arrive by Monday and I will start the program that Tuesday after reading it through. Even if I end up losing only 5 pounds, I'm off my plateau.
My starting weight is between 139 and 141. I hope to get down to 130 when it's all said and done. Wish me luck!!
